Montfort Maritime has appointed Jonas V. B. Nissen as Global Head of Freight Operations, based in Denmark.

Montfort Maritime has appointed Jonas Nissen as Global Head of Freight Operations, based in Denmark.

Jonas brings more than 15 years of experience across tanker pool and dry cargo operations, combining seafaring expertise with senior operational leadership ashore. Having started his career at sea before transitioning into commercial and operational management roles, he has built a strong track record in vessel performance, safety, and operational excellence across global trading platforms.

Most recently, he served as Operational Lead for the Americas at the Norden Tanker Pool, where he played a key role in shaping regional and global operating frameworks, strengthening strategic partnerships, and delivering consistent, high-quality service across markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Head of Montfort Maritime Trading Torben Pedersen said: “We are pleased to welcome Jonas.
