Montfort Maritime acquires debut vessel

10 August 2022: Montfort Maritime, the shipping division of Montfort, acquired its first vessel, the ‘Vialli’, in collaboration with its partners. The ‘Vialli’ is a modern 2012 IMO Type 3 Medium-Range (MR) tanker built by GSI in 2012. The tanker was formally handed over in the first week of August. Montfort is a global commodity trading and related-asset investment company with a diverse portfolio of assets and innovative services in trading, shipping, retail, upstream and downstream.

Initially, the vessel will operate on time charter with a multinational commodity trading and logistics company. In the course of time, the tanker will be used for trading across international freight markets.
